FAQs

Is Dr. Sosnowski a real person?

Yes, Dr. Zenon Sosnowski MSc, PhD, was a real person. Born in Poland, Dr. Sosnowski was an Associate Professor with PhDs in Biochemistry and Pharmacology, who taught medicine at St. Boniface Teaching Hospital in Winnipeg.  He also spent over 35 years studying bee propolis and its potential applications in treating human health conditions, and through his research, identified that the rare and unique compounds bee propolis contained could be used as a highly effective ingredient in certain treatments and for general wellness. We exist to continue Dr. Sosnowski's work, and his legacy lives on in our products, our philosophy and our commitment to pushing forward modern-day scientific research into hive-led solutions

What is bee propolis?

Bee Propolis is effectively the immune system of the bee hive. Created by bees from a unique combination of plant and tree bud saps and the bee's own enzymes, propolis is designed to protect the hive from disease and bacteria. Propolis naturally contains over 300+ beneficial compounds (including vitamins, minerals and bacteria-fighting antioxidants), and it's believed to be the reason bee hives are kept sterile and healthy

Is Dr. Sosnowski's vegan?

While bees are not always classified as 'animals', products obtained from bees are considered to be animal-derived. As such, ingredients including Bee Propolis, Royal Jelly and Bee Pollen (which are all created by bees) cannot be considered 'vegan'. Whilst almost every single one of our products can be considered 'Vegetarian', and we only use vegetable capsules for our supplement range, we encourage you to read our ingredients lists carefully
